Protecting a hard-won victory
After 300 years, the death penalty has been repealed in Maryland- for now. Thanks to the leadership of Governor O’Malley, the moratorium on state executions is the law of the land. However, the battle to repeal was a tough and one that persists today. A new administration and a new legislature could introduce new legislation and reinstate the death penalty.
